Today, Pokebro on Youtube posted a video where he gave himself 2 weeks to remake Pokemon Yellow in 3D. The remake features a voxel art style and borrows some mechanics from both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Legends Arceus. Instead of just following you around the map, now Pikachu can sense other wild Pokemon and will go to autobattle them for you. Like in Scarlet and Violet, you can either stay to try and catch the Pokemon, or you can continue your journey and have Pikachu catch up with you once he’s done. The player can also call Pikachu back to them during a battle by whistling. The remake also features real-time Pokemon catching, allowing the player to throw Pokeballs while moving around the map instead of the standard battle screen. Because the fan remake is a top down view, there is an onscreen indicator that appears for the player to set the distance that the pokeball will be thrown. This remake contains Pallet Town, Route 1, Viridian City, Route 2, Viridian Forest, and Pewter City – and even has a gym battle with Brock which will give the player the Boulder Badge once beaten. The game hasn’t been released to the public, but you can watch the video above to see for yourself. Let us know in the comments what you think of this fan remake.
