A new Pokemon Diamond and Pearl beta leak was uploaded online – link to the info is at the bottom of this article. These Nintendo “Megaleaks” just keep coming! This time, someone has posted N64 leaked development files and source code online and we finally have confirmation that L is Real. The files even contain what appears to be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2. What’s more is that the community has found what appears to be proof of Luigi in Super Mario 64. This information of Luigi being in SM64 has been found 24 years and 1 month since the game was released. This leak just posted online and the below screenshot is of the folder’s contents. The folder itself is about 3GB, but appears to have around 10GB .tar inside. This image originally was sourced from a random Discord server. Contents hide 1. What is in the Nintendo 64 Gigaleak 2? 2. Code for An Ultra Mario Bros 64 in Super Mario 64 Source Code With Luigi 3. Video Footage of Luigi In Super Mario 64 Source Code Leak What is in the Nintendo 64 Gigaleak 2? A look at the contents in the screenshot clearly shows 1080 Snowboarding, Doom 64, Starfox 64, a Mario game (64?), Mario Kart 64, Wave Racer 64, Yoshi’s Story, Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Zelda Ocarina of Time, and Zelda Ocarina of Time 2. What’s also interesting is that it appears the operating system for the Nintendo 64 has been leaked. This likely will benefit those in the modding community and others working on the best N64 emulators or indie games – while this operating system code cannot be used directly, it can serve as a good baseline in understanding how the system operates on a deeper level. Code for An Ultra Mario Bros 64 in Super Mario 64 Source Code With Luigi There have been reports that users have found code for Luigi in an “Ultra Mario Bros 64” game with an entire “Luigi Hierarchy Data Module”. Our hunch is that this title was the original name before it officially became known as Super Mario 64. Still though, this appears to provide evidence that originally, the Mario 64 might have included Luigi as a playable character (and perhaps even had a 2 player mode). From what we have heard from members of the community this far, the Ultra Mario Bros 64 (Super Mario 64 source code leak luigi) is said to be for the iQue version of the game, not the original N64 version. We’ve been told that it is a “cvs” repo with history data, which means that while we have data regarding numerous revisions and versions of SM64, we do not have prior development of the iQue version. What this means is that in short, there is not full source code regarding pre-final builds of Super Mario 64 in these files, but there does seem to be localized prototype code. Additionally, we have been told that any pre-built prototypes in the code are just localization builds, but it does appear that there is included an English Shinou version. Since this is source code, it is likely that there are assets for many thing which are not usually included once a game is compiled. This may be why files to Luigi are in fact present along with some levels that were removed and not in the official released version of Super Mario 64. We can see that this Super Mario 64 source code leak Luigi data is historical in terms of unknown Nintendo information. Video Footage of Luigi In Super Mario 64 Source Code Leak This version of Mario 64 appears to have been rushed at the time considering that the game was compiled with its debug headers still in tact – typically these would be removed before a game goes into production. It’s also speculated that Luigi maybe would have been a playable character in the 64DD expansion/addon, but this is not confirmed. We now have confirmation that a never before seen version of an enemy has been restored – this was the code of an enemy in SM64 which was previously unknown to us. It has been named as of now “Motos” because of data taken from the Super Mario 64 leak game files. Motos is said to be a mixture of King Bob-omb and also a bully. You can see this new Motos enemy in the video below: I've fully restored the code of an enemy in SM64 previously unknown, dubbed "Motos" from the game files. This information was recovered from the recent leak. Another leak was posted, and here are a few of its folders. The entire folder itself is 3GB, but seems to have a 10GB .tar inside. Why the internet has now chosen to make all of these files available to the masses is not exactly clear. Some have speculated it could be related to the lack of news that Nintendo has been putting out over the last year regarding future games, while others think it could just be coincidental. We won’t be sharing any direct links here for obvious reasons, but will continue to update this article as more info is revealed. We will continue to update this article as more information surfaces about these N64 “Gigaleaks”. Be sure to let us know in the comments what you think about all of these leaks. We do not recommend downloading any of the leaked files. Openly reading about them, researching, and discussing them are one thing, but downloading them and having them on your machine are another. Furthermore, you have no idea if the people who are reuploading these leaked files have added viruses or malware – in general, it’s best to just not do it.
