This game in the series has officially remained on top as Japan’s highest selling Nintendo Switch title for the 3rd month now. Having released roughly nine weeks ago, the game still is topping the charts. As Famitsu reports, Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa Mo Teiban! has managed to maintain its high level of sales 3x over its competition. This means that it has managed to outsell games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is quite an impressive feat. The game is rather simple in nature and plays like a board game party game hybrid, thus having a low barrier of entry for new players. As with many games rising to popularity these days, many streamers and Youtubers in Japan have picked up the game and have showcased it in their content. It’s not clear exactly when the game will fall from the top sales spot, but for now it is completely dominating the market in Japan.
