HomeNintendo SwitchRumor: New Nintendo Switch Controller Application Appears Online Nintendo News Rumor: New Nintendo Switch Controller Application Appears Online We’ve all heard this one before – Nintendo could be releasing something soon. This time however, there does appear to be some solid evidence pointing to this playing out. A new FCC application seems to suggest that Nintendo may be working on bringing a new Nintendo Switch controller to market in the near future. Wondering when this might happen? Well, it shouldn’t be too long from now that we will be able to learn more information as the application’s confidentiality is set to expire on March 16, 2022 – this means the FCC no longer will be forced to hide information relating to it from that date forward. The application itself is labelled as “Nintendo Game controller” and was published online today (September 16, 2021). IDs are given to devices that have registered with the United States FTC and these are required to sell wireless devices in the country. This new controller product’s FCC ID is BKEHAC043. While on a surface level, that ID may not seem rather interesting, upon further inspection we find that all Nintendo Switch product codes use HAC in them. This seems very likely to be a Nintendo Switch accessory – the Switch uses HAC-001, the left joy-con uses HAC-015, and this new controller uses HAC-043. Okay, so we know that it’s likely to be a Switch related controller because of the product code, but what exactly is it? That info isn’t clear quite yet, but upon further sleuthing, we find that the SNES controller made specifically for Nintendo Switch Online – Super Nintendo Entertainment System uses the product code HAC-042. This could very well be a new controller slated to pair with an upcoming release of a new Nintendo Switch Online game system collection. There have been rumors floating around about the Game Boy potentially making its debut soon. As with all rumors and speculation, it’s best to not get too excited here until Nintendo officially come out with an announcement of their own. We will just have to wait for now and see what this new product turns out to be. Let us know in the comment section below what you think!
