HomeNewsAnimal Crossing has an Official Instagram Animal Crossing Animal Crossing has an Official Instagram Just a few days ago Nintendo made an Instagram for Animal Crossing! Right now the newest game is New Horizons so just about all posts are based on characters that are also in this title. With the name just being Animal Crossing; it should continue past this. Hopefully including characters not in the New Horizons game, but with the description stating it features island residents let’s not be too hopeful. Animal Crossing’s official instagram was essentially an overnight success. Now, only 3 days after its creation it’s sitting on over 100k followers and tagged in well over hundreds of videos. Fans were almost too ready for Nintendo to create this account. Nintendo is not really known for being quick to get on social media trends, in fact just having this Instagram has me wondering. Why exactly did they make it? So lets dig a little deeper, and figure out what they could be planning. As of right now, there are only 3 villagers posted on the Instagram. Twiggy, Dizzy, and Caroline, but what exactly do they have in common? Twiggy was released first, two days ago when the official instagram was made. She is a peppy character shown singing to music in some shots, in a very cleanly decorated room. Dizzy is a lazy character, everything in his room is decorated very bright and fun, much like himself. Caroline is a normal character, her room decorated similarly to what you would see with her character type; very neat and orderly, with lots of books around. Aside from getting to have all these cute characters sing in your plaza together, what do they have in common? They’ve all been in the franchise since at least the Gamecube version of the game. Both Dizzy and Twiggy being in the original Animal Forest on the Nintendo 64. Caroline appeared later on in Animal Forest under the name of Bliss back in 2001. When you think about these factors, it’s easy to see why they may have been displayed together. However, there are a lot of characters that have been in game since the initial release in 2001. Why not Bluebear or Kody? After a little more digging, there could only be one thing left. Twiggy was the first character shown on the Animal crossing’s official Instagram, and guess when Twiggy’s birthday was? You got it, the 13th. Dizzy’s Birthday was the 14th and Caroline’s is today, July 15th. This makes me wonder however if we’re only going to get one character per day, or if there will be a second video as it is Maple’s birthday today too! It makes me wonder how they’ll carry on in this situation, with double birthdays, or is this all just a weird coincidence? This has definitely been an interesting year for Animal crossing, with a company offering to pay someone 1,000 to play 50 hours of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as July’s update and the bugs for this month!
