Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne Switch Remaster Announced

Today, fans of the Shin Megami Tensei series can rejoice as we have received official news that Shin Megami Tensei III will be getting a remaster on the Nintendo Switch. The news came during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase event.

We already had confirmation that Atlus was working on an exclusive New Shin Megami Tensei V game, but today Nintendo and Atlus threw a curve ball with the unexpected remaster.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster is a remake of the original game which originally launched over 12 years ago on the PS2. The Switch HD remake release date will be in Spring of 2021. Both Shin Megami Tensei games will be releasing in the same year.

You play as a Japanese high schooler who gets morphed into a half demon being after the world gets sent into an apocalyptic spiral. In Tokyo, where you live, the place is overrun with demons and other ghouls. It’s a turn based RPG game where you recruit other demons to fight alongside of you during battles.

Shin Megami Tensei V will also be getting a simultaneous global launch which fans are very happy about.
