There is nothing that video game super sleuths can’t discover these days. A potentially official yet private Mario 35 Anniversary Twitter account which could be being held by Nintendo has been discovered by fans. If this is true, this twitter handle adds significant weight to information that has surfaced earlier this year regarding the upcoming Mario remasters on Switch. The Twitter account we are mentioning is @SuperMario35th and at the time of this writing, has a temporary name of ‘aaaaaaaaaaa’ with no account activity or profile picture to show. It was also subsequently registered to Twitter on March 2020. Upon further investigation, one user found that the recovery email used to create the account could in fact be a Nintendo company email. Although Twitter hides certain characters from sensitive information like email addresses, this does in fact seem pretty spot on with a ‘@nintendo.co.jp’ email address. Also to note, the official SmashBrosJP and SplatoonJP Twitter accounts both use a similar email address structure. At this point, no one knows for sure whether this account is officially linked to Nintendo and created for a Mario Anniversary launch. If that is the case and this account does in fact belong to the big N, we should see some official game news regarding Mario’s 35 anniversay come from it in the not too distant future. So far this year, we have received reports from multiple reliable sources that Nintendo is in the works to release multiple remasters of some of the most beloved titles in the series, spanning through Mario’s 35 year catalog of games. This remaster collection of sorts would include HD versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and even a release of Super Mario 3D World on the Nintendo Switch. Here’s to hoping that we get some big Mario news soon. We’re going to be keeping an eye on that @SuperMario35th account and suggest that you do too.
