In the game, you challenge different opponents through various songs. In the last few months, the game has taken the internet by storm and generated mass amounts of hype. So much so that it managed to gather over $2M for the game’s Kickstarter campaign. Is Friday Night Funkin’ Coming To Switch? All of the madness seems to date back to this particular reddit post where user _xXxLeonxXx_ looked through the source code of the game files and found a Switch version of the game. Now this isn’t a definite sign that the game is coming to the Switch, and the game’s developer, Ninjamuffin99 confirmed that this was “just some work from a fellow dev who is a Switch partner”. Essentially, they were just given some Nintendo development resources so they could fool around with making the game Switch compatible. But wait, I hear you say, ninja_muffin99 did actually submit Friday Night Funkin’ to the Nintendo Switch eShop though! You’re right, the game was apparently submitted, but it seems that the submission was essentially just for the memes. if we pitched this to Nintendo do u think they would let Friday Night Funkin on Nintendo Switch eShop? Ninja_Muffin99 has openly discussed their desire for the game to come to the Switch. Having access to Nintendo Switch tools early on makes this process much simpler as they are able to plan ahead and write code that won’t require such massive changes later on down the road if a Switch port becomes a reality. Friday Night Funkin’ Switch – Is It Real? Honestly, while we don’t have any concrete evidence quite yet of the game coming to the Nintendo Switch, it does seem likely that we will see a release sometime in the future. If there is a will there is a way, and the developer clearly wants it to become a reality. Only time will tell for certain, but we believe that it’s only a matter of time before the game releases on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
