During the video, Carrie Patel played through the DLC for almost 12 minutes. A few minutes of the gameplay was inevitably taken up by dialogue (as to be expected), but it picked up around midway through the video, showing off some battles and interesting weaponry. A group of marauders is stumbled upon and a battle ensues. A new science weapon is used called the “Pest Extermination Tool” which allows players to pull enemies towards them to then slice through using the weapon’s flaming blades that protrude out. New types of marauder variants are shown in this battle which are specific to Gorgon. Who these marauders are and how they arrived on Gorgon is part of the DLC’s experience that players will uncover as they progress. The outside of multiple dungeons is shown off during the gameplay video. These are visible early on in the DLC and serve to give players a sense of exploration, finding out how to get to them and how to get inside. The Gorgon asteroid used to be a working research facility. As the video progresses, you find out that something very strange happened to the character Gerome. They follow the instructions found in Gerome’s journal to find his flask and end up in Gerome’s apartment that he used to live in. The flask is retrieved from his bed and then the video shows some additional areas of the building. New music was shown that is available in the DLC along with an all new area that become available as well. Will you be purchasing The OuterWorlds DLC once it becomes available?
