In the trailer, we are shown a “Maniax Pack” DLC bundle which features Dante from the Devil May Cry series. The DLC will cost roughly $9 USD (980 yen) and will be launching alongside the game on October 29. If purchased, the DLC will swap out Raidou Kuzunoha and replace him with Dante. This is a really smart move from Atlus which is sure to drum up a lot of press. The fan service is real with this one, as Dante did originally appear in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax way back in 2004, hence the name of the DLC pack, “Maniax Pack”. The Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster (while quite a challenge to say 10 times fast) is looking to be quite the remaster. It is set to arrive in 2021 for both the US and EU, with Japan receiving the game earlier on October 29. Japan’s early release schedule will receive the game on both the Nintendo Switch and the Playstation 4. As with many remasters, there will be a graphical overhaul set to improve the aesthetics of the game, along with character voices being added to cut-scenes. Additionally, the normal and hard difficult modes will still be present, but an extra difficult mode titled “merciful” will be available granted the player downloads the free DLC pack which it is included in. This remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne came along with the news of the new Shin Megami Tensei V game that Atlus announced back in the first of their Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase event. Shin Megami Tensei V is also set to release on the Switch in 2021, so get ready, there’s plenty of demon slaying coming up! Jeremy Dircks I get nautical sometimes.
