The game has a release date on the Switch eShop of August 28, 2020. There’s not too much time to wait now, so let’s take a look at the gameplay and how it will work. A few different trailers have appeared on the PQubeGames Youtube channel for Nexomon. The first trailer shown below shows off the game’s mechanic on catching Nexomon: How to catch a Nexomon Catching a Nexomon Similarly to Pokemon games, in Nexomon you have the ability to catch different monsters named Nexomon. The mechanics to do so actually seem pretty interesting and is a unique spin on the classic pokeball. Nexomon Gameplay Nexomon gameplay and world showcase In Nexomon: Extinction, players become a part of the Tamer’s Guild and work to battle against the Tyrant Nexomon that are destroying the world. You can do side quests, mine elements, and find new adventures in the various towns and outposts. Characters in Nexomon Nexomon character showcase As you play through Nexomon, you meet a cast of unique characters along your journey. The art style in Nexomon: Extinction is unique and doesn’t appear to be a blatant ripoff of previous entries in the Pokemon line. The music however (shown in the trailers) does appear to be very Pokemon inspired, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The team behind this title have said that fans of the Pokemon series can looks forward to a return to the roots of the genre with Nexomon.
