The new studio features members that worked on the original games from Free Radical Design team – even founders Steve Ellis and David Doak have reunited on the project. Free Radical Design team has 22 years under their belt. TimeSplitters was released in 2000 and was the first game that they put out. TimeSplitters was a critical hit and later went on to put out 2 more games in the series, loaded with references to pop culture and various time periods. There is definitely a cult following for the TimeSplitters series that is going to be ecstatic at the news of a new game coming to the series after so long. The studio has been formed, there is a plan for the next game, and more info should be coming out in the future. Steve Ellis of Free Radical Design is quoted as saying the following: “To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible,” commented Steve Ellis, Studio Development Director at Free Radical Design. “While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.” Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
