HomeNintendo DirectJeff Grubb and THAT September Nintendo Direct Nintendo Direct Jeff Grubb and THAT September Nintendo Direct Today’s Nintendo Direct has come and gone and I feel compelled to discuss “leakers” and “insiders” who claim to know what each Nintendo Direct will reveal. Jeff Grubb was completely wrong on all of his direct “leaks” except claiming that there would be a September direct in the first place, however, there is ALWAYS a September Nintendo Direct. Based on Nintendo’s track record, anyone could have reasonably assumed that we would be getting a direct in the month of September as we always do. It seems like it’s about time we stop trusting these “insiders”, promising content that will be shown during a direct, only to further ruin the experience when these claims don’t come to fruition. These insiders get people so excited for things that don’t happen who then become angry at Nintendo when the “leaks” don’t end up being true. And if Jeff Grubb now proclaims that Nintendo simply took the Zelda Windwaker HD remake and Metroid Prime remakes out of the direct at the last minute, don’t fall for it. I think collectively we can come to the agreement that Jeff Grubb is not a reliable “Nintendo insider”. If anything, he’s a man who realizes the commotion he can stir up and the following he can garner by making claims. Rant over. While there was some level of disappointment for fans that Nintendo didn’t deliver on some “expectations”, we did get a title reveal and launch date for the new Zelda BOTW game. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be launching on the Nintendo Switch 5/12/23. Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts were on today’s Nintendo Direct.
