So much so, that it has now taken the #1 spot on Famitsu’s Japanese charts. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been crushing the competition, but in its first week of release, eBaseball has managed to sell 94,876 total copies on the Switch in Japan. Interesting to note, eBaseball also managed to pick up the #2 spot on this list with the PS4 version of the game selling 91,547. What is eBaseball Powerful Pro 2020? For those of us not located in Japan, there’s a good chance you might not know much about the game. The game is published by Konami and is a unique quirky take on the popular sport, Baseball. eBaseball Nintendo Direct mini trailer from March 26, 2020. Up to four players can get down on some baseball action in co-op mode. You play together/against one another to aim to be the winning team (standard baseball stuff here folks). Work to train and develop your baseball team working as a high school coach and go for the gold in the Japanese National High School Baseball Tournament in Koshien. There are three success modes available: Pawafuru Agriculture University, Supply International University, and Egypt University. As of now, eBaseball does not appear to have an English translation and as far as we know, there is no news of the game coming to other areas of the world. That is a real shame because from watching the game’s Nintendo Direct mini presentation, it looks like a lot of fun. Here’s to hoping that due to the success that the game has seen from its release in Japan, that the rest of the world will get a release sometime in the future as well.
