The Switch is well on it’s way to an amazing 2021. What are your favorite games so far?
Bowser’s Fury
Great open world take on the 3D World mechanics. I love the exploration focused 3D Mario games and Bowser’s Fury is one of the best, despite only being a handful of hours long. I could easily see myself revisiting this game countless times over the years, much like I have with 64. It’s easy to jump into and progression feels great.
Monster Hunter Rise
As a long time fan of the series I was very disappointed with what I played of MHW. It felt too different from the best games in the series up until that point. Rise takes the best parts of classic MH and the best parts of World and mixes in some new ideas. The end result is very compelling new MH experience. My only complaint is I want more content now! 😂
Famicom Detective Club
Despite having some dated and obtuse issues with progression these games are still very special. First thing is obvious. The art is beautiful. Combining that with great writing, characters and sound design and these games have a way of pulling you in. You want to find out what happens next. So, while having to occasionally click on every dialogue option in every location because you can’t figure out what to do next is frustrating, it doesn’t harm the experience enough to overcome that desire to get to uncover more of the mystery.
Sky: Children of the Light
I’m not typically a fan of F2P games, but thatgamecompany has the pedigree that had me interested in this game from the moment it was first announced as an iOS exclusive years ago. It’s a lot like their previous hit, Journey. Only this time instead of more passi https://tutuappx.com/ ve multiplayer you have some light MMO elements. Some people have issues with the way the social elements are monetized, but I still think if you ignore a lot of that and play this game like you would Journey then you will have an ama https://appvalley.onl/ zing experience. It’s so much fun flying around and exploring.
Honorable Mentions: Mario Golf: Super Rush, The Longing and PAC-MAN 99
