Not exactly. You can’t build anything you want with placing blocks wherever you want. There are only set things you can craft, and some things that you can only buy with in-game currency. You also make money by selling fish and insects you catch, as well as any other unwanted items. There are many different “villagers” in your “island” and each has their own personality, and you need to give a home to each one
