dlc is just extra. so unless one of your favorite pokemon is in the dlc and you reaaally want it then theres no point buying the dlc until after you beat the game

No, not a lot of ways, but a few key ones. It could be jarring depending on which order you play the games in
its different and if you were a fan of the older pokemon games then you might not enjoy this one
but i personally like it

also gen 8 is definitely one of the easier pokemon games out there, you wont be finding much challenge here
