Plus Wii was super hot in Japan (really the whole world)
@R3dRKO it sold poorly on Wii?
It sold really well on Nintendo Wii and then it’s been on Nintendo platforms since then
Tri was exclusive to Wii in the states
Yeah I think it was here also
I think it was ported to ps3 but only in Japan
Never had a English translation for Portable 3rd for ps3
Is the beating heart of the game the thrill of taking down monsters with friends?
Or randoms? Because I used to just play with fandoms.
Something like that
I describe the game as somewhere between a complex beat em up and a dance
You watch people more experience than you Hunt and then you have a better idea of when to attack and back off so it’s kinda like a dance in that sense
Yeah I get that I never stuck with it but enjoyed what I played. I hear worlds is the watered down one for western people to get more involved.
I didn’t enjoy worlds but I also don’t think I’m qualified enough to tell anyone if it was really good or bad. I didn’t spend enough time with it because the hit detection imo was completely ridiculous
In the previous games I played I always thought the hit detection made sense and it was my fault most of the time if I got killed during a hunt
Worlds I felt it often didn’t make sense so I gave up playing it
Plus they changed a lot of the lobby system and way to set up and join a hunt. They really catered to a new audience as opposed to the audience that was there from Gen Ultimate or prior
Rise certainly feels like a mix of the two; taking the best of both the mainline series and Worlds
Well do you think it will rocket sales wise?
Time will tell but I think Rise will be the best selling MonHun game. Lots of friends and people that never played the game before seem to want to give it a real shot
