It's not that it was hard it's just that my stamina was bad. I would usually dodge too much and end up getting too tired to dodge the next attack or I would use up too much energy attacking and I wasn't able to escape the self destruction part and all. In the end the thing that saved me in the end was one of my estus flasks refilling because I had run out and just barelry had enough
