SL60 is the norm? or is that 80?
I usually have better luck in the 40s-50s in Anor Londo.
And I've never been able to get summoned in any of the post-lord vessel areas.
Ah i normally get there around SL50-60 i do have issues with the high 60's but its like SL80's camp there at times too
Well, it is a bitch of a boss fight and you can rack up a lot of souls pretty quickly here.
True that especially on NG+ its 50k for a summon in just NG then NG+ its 100k
Though tbh as long as Solaire does his job and distracts one of them it's usually not too bad. (though sometimes he just dicks around and you end up fighting both at once anyway)

Once is only enough if you don't have a specific need for humanity.
ooor you could farm souls and buy it from patches
and tbh farming the "things" at the archives is probably a faster source of humanity than summoning
kill patches
did that in demon's. regret it. befriending patches everytime from now on.
The problem is my lack of humanity
Which I'm trying to get in the process of fixing.
I usually get humanity from helping players beat the easy bosses like the bell gargoyles or the capra demon
