it applies to physical copies iirc
Physical copies give less points (1% of their value in gold points) so that mail applies only to digital

When you buy digital you get 5% in gold points, but given that there are different prices for each country, that amount will vary
I'm a physical gameguy but with the switch I feel like it's better just to have it on the system itself I think I will buy both
