Nov 6th, Brawlhalla releases for Switch. It's a free to play Smash-clone and is really fun. It also doesn't require NinOnline for online play. Just a heads up! (No pay-2-win, cosmetic only. The game is gaining popularity and there's even a $100K competition coming up in a few weeks.)

Just find someone who does well. Like ZSS and Sheik are really hard to learn, but they can pay off. DK, Mario, and a lot of others can be played easily, a low skill floor and high skill ceiling. There are these things called "Smashcords" pertaining to each character if you wanna learn more about combos and tech with a particular character.

its really a matter of finding what kind of playstyle you like and narrowing it down from there

@ExWizard260 I’d recommend starting with someone you just enjoy playing I never intended to hav the mains I did but I enjoyed playing em so much that I played em till I was good with em

Agreed. Dark Pit heavily relies on combos, so I enjoy them because I tryhard a lot.

i have 2 mains both depending on different playstyles. ganon since i love heavies and hero because i enjoy his spells

well mii swordfighter is way better in ultimate than he was in smash 4 thats for sure

I pocket Swordfighter, but I kind of just Tornado over and over again until one of them hits. Then I play the game.

Some people still complain about them having custom specials, and that's something I don't understand.

i think its because in competitive play, theres no way to know what specials theyre gonna have so you cant be fully prepared
