In the Smash presentation video at 6:32........
Please make that happen in game Xander
I failed NoNutNovember because of that

The best way to improve your fundamentals is to improve your neutral game
Especially now that spam rolling is discouraged
A ready opponent will punish you immediately if you have predictable rolling habits
see reads compilations on YouTube
My favorite is playing jiggs and resting every time someone rolls toward me
Also personally I use tilt stick, would think that it becomes more useful with new out of dash options
@Xeno Hey there, don't worry, I'm sure plenty of Smash Folk here, including myself, can help you get up to snuff
@Xeno yes direction plus timing the A press do absolute more damage. For instance if you c stick with the baseball bat it may knock a fighter off the platform with 0% DMG. but in the same situation if you time with an a press directional stick it will instant KO
Ah, interesting - I did not know that!
I actually had no idea about 'tilts' until this week.
I managed to lose my copy of Brawl and can't get Project M up and running - so I'm going to be practicing some in Melee and hope that it transfers at least a little bit.
The Smash discord suggested.... Short hopping, pivot grabbing, ledge guarding , work on airials, grab a lot, roll only when absolutely necessary
C stick is just an uncharged smash no?
I wasn't sure what fundmentals I could pick up and be consistent with by the time I compete.
You can hold down the stick to charge it starting smash 4
If it makes any difference, I primarily play with Marth - who I will either stay with, or switch to Ryu 'cause SF.
You can pick up good habits and strats by watching tournament matches or video breakdowns from esports players
