If they made a full blown story mode... I'd honestly want it to be something like the new Blazblue game. It's basically just a visual novel (with voice acting) and fighting in between story bits.
Although I think Sakurai himself said something about axing the cutscenes, because of all the work they take, and then they just get uploaded to Youtube and such
