I'm just doing A-rank games and getting paired with people who afk at the start or thinks splatzones is a mode where you hang back chucking a bomb here and there

Well it can also largely depend on the game mode

For example, I love Rollers in Splat Zones but I dread the thought of using them in rainmaker

However, the most important thing in splatoon, other than learning the basics, or a weapon or anything, is learning that losing a game will happen, and it's OK.

Well it's super fucking frustrating where you keep losing games over & over again & you don't even know if it's your fault

As I said, you might want to learn better a weapon before using it in ranked. Changing weapon constantly won't make you learn. Besides, turf war is for that. You get a weapon, go there and learn the most about it. Then, only when you feel you are getting good with that weapon, you face ranked

I climbed all my ranks with the hydra. In splatoon, playing a support weapon in ranked is a nightmare. You don't want to be there. And still, I got there

Damn boy! But bubbles are one of the hardest specials to use!

@Belaptir I got the forge BC it was the ONLY Weapon recommended for Clam Blitz that I could feel comfortable using

The only other options were Brushes (Fuck That Pain), Custom Hydra, & Chargers

forget EVERYTHING about what are the "recommended" weapons for every game

Those recommended weapons are made according to what a guy thinks it's best. And that might or might not work for you
