I'm just doing A-rank games and getting paired with people who afk at the start or thinks splatzones is a mode where you hang back chucking a bomb here and there

ranking up with a support weapon as a hydra or a tenta brella made me trust no one in the game

Ranking up, mainly in S+, means to carry teams that don't deserve to be carried, and yes, it's much more difficult with a support weapon

But then again, as a Hydra, in splatzones, i've been told that I was being "too stationary". With a hydra. I mean, do you have an idea of how slow is that thing? Yes, it delivers loads of ink, and has a lot of firepower, but you have to charge it first, and you have to move it. It's not a mini-splatling

But yeah, I suppose the other three squiddos will go after kills, instead of having an eye on the tower, ready to defend it from brushes and other short range weapons

That's why I prefer the ballpoint, it's a mix of everything that's good in a splatling (in my opinion)
