cant wait to accidently launch my joy con at the screen while trying to catch something

that's gonna be a thing again after the good ol' wiimote (aka destroyer of flat tv's) times

a bigger concern is going to be the amount of switch tossed when trying to catch a pokemon while playing in handheld...

i remember them saying something in the lines of having handheld but no motion

nope you still need to use motion to aim just press a button to throw the ball if i remember correctly

"In handheld mode with both Joy-Con attached - you are still required to move around to aim, but you press a button to throw the Pokéball."

Just throw your switch directly at your tv instead of just the joycon

Just got Mario Party and I agree that it's very annoying not to have handheld

Also I'm like 7 1/2 hours into shiny hunting Mewtwo collectively. It's the only thing that's made let's go less fun in my opinion, too bad my brain hears the word shiny and says "must have shiny everything"

they replaced it and all the other IV stuff with AVs which lets pokemon get even more powerful

AVs are improved with candy

AVs are much simpler than IVs i could explain all about them if you want

so i must catch tons of the same pokemon for say a candy that boosts attack?

yes but also if you catch tons of the same pokemon you can get a candy named after the pokemon and the <pkmn-name> candy improves every stat by 1

kinda like there are tons of youtube videos of poeple using AV trained metapods or Magikarps to beat the elite 4
