cant wait to accidently launch my joy con at the screen while trying to catch something

that's gonna be a thing again after the good ol' wiimote (aka destroyer of flat tv's) times

a bigger concern is going to be the amount of switch tossed when trying to catch a pokemon while playing in handheld...

i remember them saying something in the lines of having handheld but no motion

nope you still need to use motion to aim just press a button to throw the ball if i remember correctly

"In handheld mode with both Joy-Con attached - you are still required to move around to aim, but you press a button to throw the Pokéball."

Just throw your switch directly at your tv instead of just the joycon

Just got Mario Party and I agree that it's very annoying not to have handheld

I'm hearing a lot of negative comments about let's go.. Are pokemon fans alright with this casual take on pokemon

It's fine, pokemon hasn't really been a hard game in a long time. The the lack of competitive might upset some, but we will get next years pokemon game for that.

I love the whole its to causal spiel. Its for the people who played lets go to get more into the Nintendo switch and Pokémon as a whole. Im sure you saw all the news about people playing how central park was packed for almost and entire year with Pokémon go players. The playerbase in that game is still strong and the blending of the two is well done. im looking forward to the next title as well though which brings it back to the more familiar formula.

@ThomasCasson as a longtime Pokémon fan (aka I was there when it all began and have bought every game ever, including Pokémon Green), I'm fine with it. Honestly, it's an entry point for Pokémon Go players. Game Freak shows them a little about the REAL Pokémon, while letting them keep some of their garbage mobile device mechanics so they aren't totally freaked out.

As long as none of the mobile device garbage ever sets foot in the mainline CORE RPGs, this is all fine. I'm also gonna buy and play PLG, because they're at least a semi-decent take on a Yellow remake/reimagining, and I love Jesse & James 😂
