id prefer wild battles but still have them be in overworld

Unless you really wanna play in docked mode, I'd say to play it in handheld mode. It's soo much easier, since you're just aiming at the thing, no motion controls
The only good thing with the motion it's easy to do excellent since it always go's dead center

I don't know about the pokeball, but the joycon requires you to lay the controller flat before you ready up, then it will actually fly straight. Maybe the pokeball requires something similar
