True. I think Wii U was a really good console but sadly its competitors left it in the dust and the gamepad unfortunately was more gimmicky than people wanted it to be. It was cool for ubisoft games to have gadgets on the second screen but otherwise it was kind of a waste mostly
Fire Emblem is also one of the series where getting into it now is better than being an old fan - because the franchise split itself between the old and the new. So you might just find yourself grabbing Three Houses when it comes out 😄
Wii U should have just had updated WiiMotes, really. Instead of a weird "bring the DS to console" gimmick, give the WiiMote a joystick and a couple more buttons, move the D-pad to the nunchuck, and give people a full control set up like WiiMotes.
at least if Awakening/Fates looked decent to you
And I actually had a lot of good times with the Wii but most of them were just meeting people on Black Ops online over VC, not with actual great games because there weren't that many comparatively to
Since I have absolutely no money, my only real choice for getting into series is emulation
The last $60 game I bought was BotW
The last $60 game I bought was Black Ops 4 😅
I only have four AAA games I'm interested in for the future
Five, actually, because I forgot Cyberpunk 2077 was coming out pretty soon
But aside from that, it's Doom Eternal, Fallout 76, the Resident Evil 2 remake, and Metroid Prime 4.
Only one left for me is Smash
Prime 4 is probably the only one I'm going to be able to buy near it's launch.
Because it's the only one I'll actively save up for.
Prime 4 will be good probably but I want to see some before I actually decide to get interested or not
I know it'll be good. Same producer who wrote the story and designed most of the gameplay for the original Prime trilogy
That's good to hear. I never got much into the trilogy when I got it on Wii U, hence why I'm not 100% if it'd be worth getting hyped for
I barely got anywhere into Prime 1
Prime 2 was always the better game
tho I had a lot of Wii U games I was playing at the time so that's a factor
