@Blizzia only metroid primes are shooters, and I have to say that they are not properly shooters. They are first person adventures. With platforming, puzzles, a lot of powerups, a ton of lore, exploration, and some shooting.
opening doors through shooting almost reminds me of portal
The shooting is so secondary that you even have a lock-on mode, to keep your target locked so you can move without aiming at all
